Till March 2022, the glass eel catched is much less than last year. The yeild in China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan is only as half as the quantity of last year. The expected total quantity in this year is no more than 30 tons.

The demand quantity of roasted eel in Japan is increased recently. As the Olimpic Games began in Tokyo, the sales volume of roasted and other tradition Japaness food in increasing. The this increasing trend is expected to last till the middle of August.
